SXSW: Brooklyn Vegan Showcase

We’re psyched to be returning to Austin this month for SXSW, where we’re throwing two events, and here’s the lineup for the first. Once again, we’re partnering with our Austin friends at Resound and Canadian nonprofit M for Montreal for an official SXSW showcase, happening on both stages of Mohawk on Friday, March 14, and starting at 8 PM. It’s free to attend with your SXSW Music badge or wristband, and there will also be tickets on sale at the door, capacity permitting.

The lineup includes the reunited Voxtrot, for their only SXSW performance this year; LA psych-prog greats Wand; rising UK art punks Maruja; London indie folk trio Mary in the Junkyard; Montreal art-punk collective La Sécurité (who were a highlight when we saw them at New Colossus and M for Montreal); the long-running folk project of Holy Fuck’s Brian Borcherdt, Dusted; Quebec psych/indie poppers Bon Enfant; Winnipeg dreampop group Living Hour; Brooklyn indie pop duo fantasy of a broken heart; Houston “dirtgaze” trio Shallowater; and Montreal country artist Bobby Dove (plus one more act TBA).
