The Music Man

The Covenant School presents - The Music Man! Family entertainment at its best, The Music Man has been delighting audiences since 1957. Meredith Willson's six-time, Tony-award-winning musical comedy is a beautiful story of love, imagination, and community.

Set in 1912, The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a kids' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the small town's librarian and music teacher, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by the end of the show. The Covenant School's 5th-12th grade students will be performing this classic with a live band!
