HADESTOWN (Teen Edition) - July 18 & 19

Hadestown is a Tony Award-winning musical by Anaïs Mitchell that intertwines the Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone. Set in a stylized, mythical world, the story follows Orpheus, a passionate musician, as he embarks on a treacherous journey to the underworld to rescue his love, Eurydice. Meanwhile, Hades rules over Hadestown, an industrial underworld where the dead are bound to eternal labor, while his wife, Persephone, longs for the warmth of the world above. Through a powerful blend of folk, jazz, blues, and theatrical storytelling, Hadestown explores themes of love, fate, power, and sacrifice, reminding us that some stories are worth telling—no matter how they end
