Six Sons Of A Gun

The name "Six Sons of a Gun" was inspired by Roger Miller's song "Dang Me," cleverly playing on the lyric "Well, I'm seventh out of seven sons, my pappy was a pistol, I'm a son of a gun." For over 15 years, our band has been a fixture in central Texas, featuring talented musicians with a history on iconic stages like the Armadillo Headquarters, The Continental Club, and even the Kennedy Center in DC.

Our primary focus is on enjoying the music. We believe that when we're having fun, it becomes infectious for our audience. We take pride in our event awareness, intuitively knowing when to be the background band playing great drinking songs and when to step into the spotlight, energizing the show and enticing people onto the dance floor. Egos are left at the door as we strive to contribute to the success of your event, making it not only amazing but also unforgettable.
