Frente Cumbiero

"One of the foremost innovators in the fertile Nueva Cumbia movement. Led by Colombian songwriter and producer Mario Galeano Toro (also founding member of Ondatrópica and Los Pirañas), Frente Cumbiero’s sound is rooted in traditional cumbia, while incorporating modern influences from jazz, electronic music, tropicália, experimental rock, and dub. Onstage, the quartet focuses on the heavier hitting side of tropical sounds geared for the dance floor, combining reeds, live percussion and electronics, synths and sequences dubbed live”.
