Austin Horror Film Festival

Join us for the inaugural Austin Horror Film Festival on October 17th-19th as we features 60 brand new short and feature horror films from around the world!

Unlike genre film festivals that feature a wide variety of films, AHFF caters specifically to horror enthusiasts, spanning all horror subgenres from monster movies to demonic possession, masked killers to schlock B-movie camp, and everything in between. Our focus is on creating a unique atmosphere for horror filmmakers to showcase their work to a passionate and FUN audience.

All screenings take place on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th at the legendary Ballroom ATX. There is a full bar and food trucks on site to fuel you for the longhaul.

Individual tickets can be purchased in advance online for $10 or the day of the event at the door for $15 (while supplies last). You may also purchase a full festival pass to access all films blocks for both screening days for $60.

In addition to film screenings, we've teamed up with Phantom Fest, Austin's Halloween Festival, for an opening night mixer at Central Machine Works (4824 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702) on Thursday, October 17th. Also, to cap off our festival, we're thrilled to present a live performance by the Dallas-based band, Daughters of Evil, at our after party!
