RANDY BROOKS & FRANK GILLIGAN
2 GREAT & INTERESTING SONGWRITERS.
Randy Brooks: the man who brought the world “Grandma Got Run Over by a
Reindeer,” sings songs that have his humorous spin on life. Randy’s "Percy the Puny
Poinsettia” was also a million-seller by virtue of sharing vinyl with “Grandma.” “Will You Be
Ready at the Plate When Jesus Throws the Ball” appeared under the closing credits of the
Showtime movie “Pride Against Prejudice: The Larry Doby Story.” And "Goin' On a Date
with Santa" somehow found its way into off-Broadway cabaret.
Frank Martin Gilligan: Texas singer songwriter, former member of Mason Dixon
(Capitol Records,) Kerrville New Folk, Songwriter Serenade, and Wildflower
winner, brings a more serious side to the table with both Americana and songs
that pay tribute to his Irish heritage. (North Texas residents heard Frank on radio
for years singing the Colter’s Barbeque commercials.)
Time and again, audiences comment on well the alternating styles of these two
singer/songwriters combine to create a unique and entertaining experience.
