On one special evening, Dallas & Texas musicians are uniting for a tribute to the Grateful Dead, showcasing the band’s iconic eras through carefully formed ensembles. Expect a night filled with performances from various groups, each honoring a distinct phase of the Dead’s legacy, alongside guest vocalists sharing their personal takes on Grateful Dead classics. Dallas boasts a thriving Grateful Dead community, so this event is a prime opportunity for fans and newcomers alike to come together and celebrate our city’s deep connection to the band.
The concert will benefit the Grateful Guitars Foundation, founded by Andy Logan. The Foundation equips professional guitarists in the Grateful Dead scene with custom-crafted instruments. Andy has partnered with Dallas-based luthier Leo Elliott of Scarlet Fire Guitars, and both GGF and SFG will be present to share insights about the Foundation’s work and the guitars themselves.
