Bonus: theme of the week is... Birthdays!
8p - Space Tan is an indie rock band from Austin, TX. Strong and clean melodies accompanied by bright guitars and psychedelic harmonies set the stage for the band's off the cuff and earnest lyrics, all held together by a driving rhythm section that makes their sound a great mix of classic production with modern sensibilities.
9p - Lavender Scare have been riding high this year, with "I Hate Saturdays" being featured as KUTX's song of the day. The band delivers a "frenzied power chord rampage" (KUTX) on their EP titled Bites. Their newest release is called "Prom Queen".
10p - Mimiclou, hailing from the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas, channels the raw energy and nostalgic essence of the 90's rock scene. This four-piece powerhouse weaves together influences from iconic acts like Dinosaur Jr, Brainiac, Pixies, Failure, Sonic Youth, and The Toadies, creating a sound that is as fresh as it is familiar.
