Innocence Before Deception tells the story of Valarie, whose teenage years take an unexpected turn. With a life devoted to ministry, where every moment is consumed serving others, a 15-year-old girl is left yearning for a voice—a way to reach her endlessly busy parents. What does the daughter of a well-respected pastor do on the other side of a bridge, with no way back? For this pastor's daughter, innocence fades and deception take hold, setting the stage for a life-changing decision. This compelling stage production delivers a heart-wrenching and unforgettable ending, leaving audiences with a message they’ll carry long after the final curtain falls. A portion of the proceeds will honor Valarie’s late son, Jarretton Jamal Thompson (JJ), by supporting organizations like the Ebby House and Lullaby House in Dallas, Texas, which mentor young girls and teen mothers.
