Theatre Gallery 40th Anniversary Reunion Party & Documentary Premiere

Theatre Gallery was a live music venue, an art gallery, and a theatre performance space that was located just east of Downtown Dallas. It opened in 1984, when Deep Ellum was still a dormant warehouse district, and it singlehandedly kickstarted an art and culture movement that became the center of gravity for an emerging alternative rock scene in Dallas. Bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flaming Lips, and Jane's Addiction all made their first Dallas appearance at TG. Join us for a reunion celebration of the 40th anniversary, featuring a sneak preview of a new documentary film about the venue, and live performances by a number of Dallas-area musicians who performed there.
