Benedictine Retreat Registration March 2025
WELCOME:
Join Bishop Michael Smith, Canon Carrie Headington, Spiritual Director Pat Stone, and Father Bob Corley for 48 hours of retreat on March 9-11, 2025 at the Prothro Center at Lake Texoma.
There will be time for prayer, reflection, conversation, and rest. The theme will be the mission pursuits of prayer, evangelism, and service as viewed through the lens of Benedictine Spirituality. In the Catechism of the Book of Common Prayer we learn: “The Church pursues its mission as it prays and worships, proclaims the Gospel, and promotes justice, peace, and love” (BCP 855).
For laity, bishops, priests, and deacons--all the ministers of the church.

WEATHER AND WHAT TO BRING:
The average temperatures for early March are low to mid 60's during the day and mid to high 40's in the evening.
Pack casual, comfortable clothes – jeans, shorts, slacks and comfortable tops, layers will work well.
Bring sturdy or hiking boots if you like to explore, there are multiple trails, woods, beach and nature to discover!
We are on Lake Texoma in a country area, so bring bug spray/lotion and sunscreen as we will be outdoors at times.
Rooms – we are staying in the Lodge Rooms – so this is a standard motel/hotel room experience of sleeping room/bathroom.
The Retreat Center does supply towels and washcloths, along with some miniature amenity toiletries such as soap/shampoo.
We recommend you pack your own favorite travel size toiletries as well, along with all the personal items you would bring on a standard overnight trip.
