big loser, formerly Free Kittens & Bread, emerged in 2019 as the brainchild of Chase D. Spruiell, a seasoned songwriter rooted in American rock. Renaming the band coincided with the release of their debut LP "love you, barely living" in 2020, an introspective journey reflecting Chase's journey to sobriety. As a dynamic indie/punk ensemble, big loser operates as a full-band solo project, embracing a revolving lineup for tours and recordings, fostering collaboration and spontaneity. Amidst the challenges of re-entering a post-pandemic music industry, the band pushed forward, releasing the EP "left on delmar drive" in 2023, showcasing raw energy and introspective lyrics. Chase's musical passion extends to three projects, but as big loser, the band plans to tour extensively, poised to further elevate their presence in the indie/punk/rock landscape.
