Wes Davis and The Highwater is a country music outfit hailing from Waxahachie, Texas. After forming in late 2018 the band quickly began performing at backyard parties and local venues. They released their first E.P. titled “Cold Beer" in October 2019.
Songwriter Wesley Davis tells stories of cold beer and heartache in a signature Texas drawl. However, he delivers his message with uplifting melodies and upbeat tempos to let you know nothing is going to get him down.
The band draws from influences like red dirt legends Turnpike Troubadours and Texas songwriters such as Charlie Robinson. Their live performances combine all the energy of a booze-soaked bar room brawl on a Saturday night with the gut-check truths preached on Sunday morning.
