AN EMPTY THREAT (USA, 8 mins- 16mm ) - Dir. Josh Lewis
A sequence of truces. A personality test offering mostly slippage.

165708 (Canada, 7 mins) - Dir. Josephine Massarella
165708 employs in-camera techniques and chemical manipulation of processed film to produce an eidetic study of temporal elasticity, including stop motion, time-lapse, light painting, flicker, tinting, and toning. Combined with cycles of alternating exposed frames, these methods imbue the work with a rhythmic magnetism, apparent both in the tempo and the aesthetic of the images.

ONIKUMA (Italy/USA, 12 mins) - Dir. Alessia Cecchet
Onikuma is Japanese yokai, a demon bear known for chasing horses. Surrounded by a foreign landscape, two women will understand that demons can come in different forms.

APPLIED PRESSURE (USA, 6 mins) - Dir. Kelly Sears
Ease the pain from past physical and mental distress. The body remembers. Aches may linger. Lay prone, breathe deeply, release tension, let go of the pain.

ARE YOU HOLDING ME, OR AM I HOLDING MYSELF? (Mexico/USA, 12 mins) - Dir. César Brodermann
A self study examining the relationship between our minds and our bodies, our thoughts and our actions, and the sometimes insurmountable gaps between what we think we want to feel and what we actually experience.

GROWING GIRL (USA, 11 mins) - Dir. Marnie Ellen Hertzler
A PowerPoint presentation about snakes and what I wish I would have done.

QUIEN BIEN AMA NUNCA OLVIDA (USA, 9 mins) - Dir. Caitlin Díaz
A love letter to the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Geography, societal norms, ancestral roots and history are analyzed through internal speech. What truth do we hide from others, or, maybe most importantly, deny ourselves?

CAMERA THREAT (Germany, 30 mins) - Dir. Bernd Lützeler
Set in the dreary nooks of Mumbai's film industry, stuck between star-cult, superstition and the daily gridlock, Camera Threat explores the ambivalent, and sometimes paranoid relationship that this film city has with the moving image itself. Seated on a casting couch, two actors are getting trapped in their impromptu conversations on the unwanted side effects of a world that no longer bothers to tell facts from fiction.
