FEAR OF THE ARTIST
Fear of the Object is a site-specific intervention utilizing live video and sound performance to put into dialogue the architectural resonances and dissonances found within physical space, sound and light.
The work is based on the inherent frequencies and resonances of four members, performing on percussive objects (cymbals, bells, drum), transducer driven membranes, and spatialized live electronics. Audio generated video projected from the group’s video artist is fed back into sound and blurs distinctions between hearing and seeing.
About the video artist:
^^^^  looks upon his art as an investigation of a reality which needs to be worked upon and changed in both artistic and political ways.
His video work began in association with The Experimental Television Center in Owego, New York, which specialized in the development of new video technology for artists. There he met Dave Jones with whom Holm collaborated on a number of large scale video installations and, most recently, in the development of the Jones VideoSynth which Peter uses for his prints, live performances and installations.Since 2000, he has worked exclusively with audio-generated video using the Jones VideoSynth and the Jones Flood Coil—a device which mimics a CRT monitor where the debris of the magnetic fallout is picked up and turned into sound. He has exhibited widely in his native Norway including a series of large scale video installations at Kunstnernes Hus, The National Museum of Art, Bergen Art Museum, Stavanger Art Museum, Kristiansand Art Museum, Kristiansand Arthall and Gallery K. He has shown internationally in the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art (Tokyo), The Ludwig Forum (Aachen, Germany), Dundee Contemporary Arts (Scotland), and the Pori Art Museum (Finland), among others.

JAMES ECK RIPPIE + SKULLCASTER

James Eck Rippie
James Eck Rippie is a musician and visual artist originally from Nashville, TN and currently resides in Taylor, TX. His work utilizes samples manipulated by turntables and electronics, and often explores the psychological impressions that juxtaposition and abstraction procure. Drawing from his extensive experience as a sound engineer in the film industry, Rippie infuses his work with aural dynamism, crafting compositions that serve as gateways to the subconscious narrative, creating what one reviewer noted as "a soundtrack to curiosity".
Beyond his solo work, Rippie has shared the stage and studio with luminaries such as eriKm (France), Colin Andrew Sheffield (TX), Paulo Raposa (Portugal), and Simon Whetham (UK), among others. His performances, recordings, sound installations have graced international venues, captivating audiences with their immersive and thought-provoking nature. Rippie’s most recent activities include acting as a performer and partial electronic composer in Mathew Richie’s opera “Infinite Movement” and an upcoming collaborative record with Swans’ percussionist Thor Harris.

Skullcaster
Originating as an "inoculation against psychotronic warfare" amidst the vibrant experimental scene of the late 90s Bay Area, Skullcaster has emerged as a pioneering force in the realms of noise, improvised electronics, and drone music. With a penchant for perplexing compositions and pushing sonic boundaries, Skullcaster has lent his sonic wizardry to a multitude of local acts, including the likes of ST 37, Future Blondes, and How I Quit Crack.
Skullcaster's sonic palette is a kaleidoscope of textures and tones, weaving throbbing synths, sitar samples, and otherworldly sounds into a mesmerizing sonic tapestry. A review in Vice Magazine for his album "Revaluation", hailed confirmation of Skullcaster's unique vision and acclaimed the record for its immersive and transcendent journey, culminating in a "spaced-out and blissful sonic odyssey".
Never staying within the confines of traditional music structures, Skullcaster has continuously blurred the concepts and structure of music, exploring the outer reaches of sonic possibility. His work has found a home on esteemed labels such as Holodeck Records, further solidifying him as a trailblazer in the experimental music landscape.
With a fearless spirit and an unwavering commitment to sonic exploration, Skullcaster continues to defy expectations and challenge conventions, carving out his own sonic universe.
