The Stu Gainesville is a unique recording studio loved by artists of all genres and musical styles. It’s small & charming layout within a mid century home located in the historic downtown Gainesville neighborhood of Springill, has exported countless songs with a signature musical texture put together by Thomas Swanson, the sole engineer who runs the sessions.
The Stu Gainesville upholds a system of beliefs within the recording industry; obsessing over musical detail, quick mix turnaround times, and keeping things simple. You won’t find a large desk, or a wall of hardware powering this studio, but rather a modern, digital approach curated by Thomas who has made a name for himself as an extremely in demand engineer not only in Florida, but across the US.
Founded by Thomas, and his longtime business partner Quinn Bass, the Stu Gainesville has always aimed to put the artist first, and serve as an accessible way for artists to have not just industry standard music, but music that is also fun to make in a comfortable environment.
