Don Gabbert has captivated audiences across the Southwestern United States for decades with his distinctive blend of traditional, modern, and original blues music. A Fort Worth native, Don’s deep connection with blues music began in his hometown, where he cut his teeth playing with local bands in the city’s vibrant blues venues.

Now based in San Angelo, Texas, Don’s commitment to the blues runs deep As a founding member of the San Angelo Blues Society and the El Paso Blues Society, he has been instrumental in fostering the region’s blues community. His notable performances include being a featured artist at the inaugural Simply Texas Blues Festival in San Angelo, with appearances at numerous festivals throughout the Southwest.

Don returns to the Southside Preservation Hall with an expansive program that spans the full spectrum of the blues tradition. Drawing from classic influences and his original compositions, Don creates an engaging evening of soulful entertainment. His longtime friends and collaborators will join him, performing together as the Don Gabbert Blues Combo.

This December’s performance promises to be an evening where true Texas Blues meets Celtic flair, delivered by one of West Texas’s most seasoned performers.
