Since meeting at an open mic in 2017, the Chicago-based road warriors have carved out a name for themselves, touring relentlessly and producing evergreen music that stands the test of time. With their first full-length album “All In A Name” dropping in June 2025, Daisychain is proving themselves as musicians who know how to let loose while also writing lyrics of merit. Their album produced by Sylvia Massy, the producer behind legends such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and Tool, cements a sound that has been described as a cross between time-honored blues rock and roll, soulful girl groups, intimate psychelia, and fuzz-driven grunge. Hundreds of shows into their seven years as a band, they are at ease adding a twist to a beloved track if it moves them in the moment or simply staying true to the sound that has earned them a cult following. While Daisychain will always be most at home in a punk rock dive, their new sound as defined by Massy’s lush layering of harmonious vocals and the musician’s proficiency on woodwinds, would make them just as fitting for an orchestral hall. The result is a sound that celebrates female voices produced by a woman who has broken countless glass ceilings. “It was very important from an energy perspective to have a female engineer behind our album,” explains bassist and vocalist Nickole Regala, “and a household name who has done the unthinkable nonetheless.
